That was originally a boring industrial water heating system furnace. So i fooled around with audio effects to give that result that sounds like one of those old low budget science fiction movies or even some cartoons. It can be used in many type of stuff, it's up to your imagination.

Jokes on you! thats not a real bird. It was in fact my mouth that made the noise. Well technically i made a weird noice into the mic, then i only kept the high pitched sounds and with a little bit of editing. So yeah, it is my mouth but not the raw sound. I'm not that good. If you could tell that it wasn't a bird from the start then you get the prize of downloading this sound :).

I created this sound using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ) using various ladspa effects and layered a few zynaddsubfx synths, with some automation to tame the fall off's by automating the volume faders. Enjoy :).

I have no idea what this was. I don't know if it's my voice or an external sound i didn't hear while recording. It was found randomly on my most recent recording of playing containment breach, and it was very quiet, so i increased the volume to try and figure out what it was, but it's still a mystery to me. A long recording of almost 19 minutes of ufo type sounds. This is the first sound i've made in several years, a different attempt with different software and hardware. Riding in building elevator during a trip to visit rrr in lowell. 0:18 - close mic elevator fan noise with weird ringing sound; 0:30 - drumming on elevator interior; 0:45ish - elevator doors opening and closing. 0:55 - "good day!".

A strong wind was blowing through the window and under the door. This created a mystic and weird sound. I added some reverb to it and now its a huge horror cave, where the wind is creating a frightening atmosphere.

I took another sample from a malfunctioning arcade cabinet, this time giving off a repetitive droning hum. Listening to it without context, i imagine being in a control center containing heavy industrial computing machines.

I have an old toy called a zube tube which is a cardboard tube with a plastic cup in each end and a long spring stretched between the cups. When you shake the tube it makes the weirdest sounds! in this recording i am holding and shaking the tube vertically. You can hear the spring oscillating.
